INTRODUCTION The material contained in this document is a compilation of the papers given and various models and audio-visual mterials used in the presentations of topics at the plenary sessions of the Workshop on Training of Nursing Teachers,ManiLa, Phlllppines, 19-30 August 1974, The presentations were glven by Ms Margaret Steed, the Workshop Director and the two consultants, Reverend Sister Paulina Pilkington and Dr Josd Socrates who assisted with the workshop. The models are organized under the main headings of the workshop, namely: Curriculum mvelopment and Planning, Educational Theories and Technology, and Nurse Teacher Preparation. A brief summary accompanies each section with a view to helping the reader see their value and to appreciate the relationship of the various models to current beliefs and pactioes of education, nursing education and the practice of nursing in contemporary society.
