The School Feeding Programme is one of two major welfare programmes provided for students at the pre-primary and primary levels and, to a limited extent, at the secondary level. The programme is funded largely by the Government with the assistance of a number of international agencies, viz, The World Food Programme, USAID, and the Italian Government. Two types of feeding programmes are 'in place, the Traditional - where cooked meals are provided, and the Nutribun and Milk, where students are provided daily with a snack consisting of a ' half, pint of milk or fruit drink and a solid (bunbullahread).
