Use the euro symbol for publications.? (IMF, Secretary?s Department, Guide to Preparation of Correspondence and Documents, Chapter 19 (Currency Units), 9/2001.) -- 2. The EC$ (East Caribbean dollar) is the legal tender in the following member countries of the East Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB): Anguilla, Antigua & Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada, Montserrat, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines. -- 3. The peso was replaced by the austral in 1985; reinstated in 1992. -- 4. Has no subsidiary unit. -- 5. The CFA (Communaute financiere) franc is the currency issued by the Central Bank of West African States (BCEAO). It is legal tender in Benin, Burkina Faso Cote d?Ivoire, Guinea-Bissau, Mali, Niger, Senegal and Togo. -- 6. There is no subsidiary unit issued for the CFA franc. However, it is useful to retain the concept of the centime. -- 7. The second abbreviation may be used if necessary for clarification. -- 8. The CFA (Cooperation financiere en Afrique centrale) franc is the currency issued by the Bank of Central African States (BEAC). It is legal tender in Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Congo [Republic of], Equatorial Guinea and Gabon.
