Excerpt
Preface: As the world prepares to enter the twenty-first century, the role of the United States and its military forces will undoubtedly have a significant impact. Our armed forces have recognized the need to become more “purple” in nature as the dwindling defense dollars have driven the requirement to improve the efficiency of our operations through joint measures. It is not enough for us to improve in our joint operations; we must also get better in interagency cooperation. The integration of Operations and Intelligence is one way to improve in this arena. In this paper I will attempt to identify ways to accomplish this daunting task.
